Red lentil soup

Quick to make and goes well as a sauce with pasta, rice, couscous or stuffed vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 onion (70 g), halved
  • 20 g olive oil
  • 1 potato, floury in pieces
  • 1 carrot, chopped
  • 180 g red lentils
  • 1000 g water
  • 1 cube vegetable stock (for 0.5 l)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp cumin, ground

PREPARATION

1. Put the onion and oil in the mixing bowl, chop for 3 sec./speed 5 and steam for 2 min./120°C/speed 1.

 

2. Add the potato and carrot and chop for 6 sec./speed 8.

 

3. Add the lentils, water, stock cube, salt, pepper and cumin, cook for 20 min/100°C/speed 2, place the measuring cup, mash for 20 sec/speed 4-8 gradually and season to taste.
